Norblis - The Company

In a nutshell...

NORBLIS is a Danish deep-tech company spun out from the Technical University of Denmark.

The company was founded in 2018 and is based on decades of shared expertise of the four founders within:

Mid-Infrared Optical fibers
Fiber Lasers & Supercontinuum Generation
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
Spectroscopy and Imaging

Today, we build supercontinuum lasers and laser-based OCT scanners, offer services and customized solutions, and participate in large international research and innovation projects.

Our vision!

The vision of NORBLIS is to become the industry and academia go-to for mid-infrared photonic solutions and services in:

Non-destructive testing
- Example: Inspecting 3d printed ceramic parts for micro-cracks and printing defects.
Critical asset inspection
- Example: Inspection of protective coatings on wind turbine blades for air bubbles, pin-holes, dirt particles, and micro-cracks.
Process monitoring
- Example: Monitoring of fruit out-gassing in industrial fruit storage facilities.
Optical characterization
- Example: Characterizing transmission loss and dispersion in mid-infrared optical fibers.
